Common questions
Where is the app after I open it? Pinboard Clip lives in the menu bar (top right of the screen), not in the Dock. Click the clipboard icon, or press ⌃⌘V, to open your history. Right-click the icon for Settings and Quit.
Quick paste copies the item but doesn't paste it. Auto-paste needs Accessibility permission. Open System Settings → Privacy & Security → Accessibility and turn on Pinboard Clip (or use Settings → Auto-paste → Open Settings… in the app). Without it, the item is still copied and you can press ⌘V yourself.
A shortcut doesn't work. Another app may already use ⌘⇧V or ⌃⌘V. Quit the other app (or change its shortcut) and relaunch Pinboard Clip.
Files copied in my code editor can't be pasted. Files copied in Finder always work. For files copied in other apps, macOS needs you to grant access once: open Settings in Pinboard Clip and click Allow Whole Disk… or Add Folder….
Passwords show up in my history. Items that password managers mark as concealed are skipped. If your password manager doesn't mark them, delete an item with ⌘D, or use Clear History from the menu bar icon.
How do I start it at login? Open Settings and turn on Launch at login.
